I will be the first to admit it. The idea behind this blog is to plug our latest “One on One” show. This month we feature Avalanche Analyst Mark Rycroft.
You can see Mark after most Avalanche games in the studio with either Kyle or myself. Mark is a fantastic analyst. If you haven’t seen him, he’s outspoken, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor.
Most of you have seen him, so you know all that. However, did you know he also owns his own business? He graduated with a business degree from the University of Denver, and now he’s putting it to good use.
Mark’s business is called “Scooter’s on Broadway” and it’s a Schwinn Scooter business. Mark works there every single day, not only selling Scooter’s, but fixing them as well! Just as he did in hockey, Mark works hard every day to be successful.
It’s kind of funny. During the interview, Mark told me a few people over the year’s will just stop by Scooters on Broadway to talk about the Avalanche. No, they have no intention of buying a Scooter, but they love talking hockey!
Since Mark is one of the nicest people out there, he’ll just sit and chat while he works. There’s something really cool about that. He’s like our gateway to this storied Avalanche organization, available to talk about the team any day of the week! And he loves it!
So, if you get a chance, check out the One on One program. (Check Altitude.tv for show times). Learn about the guy you see on your screen after every Avalanche game. You’ll like him. I guarantee!
Or, go to Scooter’s on Broadway...and tell him Julie sent you.
(I’ve always wanted to say that.)
