WE LOVE OUR SPORTS TEAMS, DENVER!

I know we all have our favorite sports, but what a great time to be a sports fan in Denver!

We can still have our favorite teams, but together, our Denver sports teams are giving us something to be proud of!  Peyton Manning a Denver Bronco?  I still have a hard time believing this is for real.  I CANNOT WAIT until Bronco season. Ridiculous!

As far as hockey goes, the Avs are where it’s at.  Right now, Colorado is teetering in the seventh-eighth spot in the west with really just a handful of games left.  Every single game left in the season has playoff implications. Every game is a nerve wracking, exciting, and emotional experience! The Colorado Avalanche are hitting their stride at just at the right time and are one of the hottest teams in the league.

If you’re a basketball fan, get ready for the same excitement.  The Nuggets have about twenty games remaining and are also teetering around the seventh and eighth spots in the West.  This team has suffered a ton of injuries, but are still in contention for a post-season berth. If you take a look at the current NBA standings, they are much like the NHL standings.  Tight as tight can get.  Nugget fans, we’re about to have some fun.

Finally, if you can believe it, the boys of summer are just about to start in a couple of weeks.  This season, it looks like the Rockies will fly under the radar, as none of the “experts” have picked them to win the NL West.  That’s great!  These guys perform better when they aren’t the favorites.

Last year, the Sporting News ranked the Denver area as the twentieth best sports city in the country.  I don’t know about you, but to me, when it comes to sports, it seems like Denver is the place to be.
